Sylvesters Yacht Club has been established since 1988 and has a
reputation as being a warm and friendly bar with tourists and residents alike. Situated on
the ground floor (bottom of staircase) in the C.C. Puerto Colón, beside the harbour and
beach in the Torviscas bajo area of Playa de las Americas. |
| Its situation is ideal for a break from the afternoon sun on the
covered terrace, sit back and enjoy a drink or snack, enjoy a game of pool or just relax
and watch some daytime TV (BBC, ITV etc..). Your hosts, Paddy, his wife Betty and their
good friend Alan all from Ireland, will guarantee you a genuine Failté (Gaelic for
welcome) every time day or night. |

|
And when it comes to cocktails not many people have the
"shake" as our head barman Lee. The bar is open from 11am till 2am, seven nights
a week and Sylvesters is famous for the "six piece sandwich" freshly made
to order with a choice of fillings on white or wholemeal fresh English bread, now
thats a sandwich and a half (quite literally) Sandwiches are available all day. |
| In the evening it is a favourite meeting point for tourists and
residents to swap fishing stories about the one that got away (yeah). Dont forget
the singalong on Karaoke nights (see bar staff for details), yes, you too can be a
"starfish" for a night. The bar itself is very well stocked with a wide range of
beers, alcopops, spirits and a fine selection of good wines, soft drinks, crisps and of
course, a cup of tea, made with PG tips, ah just like home. |

|
And not forgetting the children who are always made to feel very
welcome in Sylvesters. So for a relaxing day or evening why not come down to
Sylvesters Yacht club , sit back and let us look after you. We look forward to
seeing you all very soon. |
